  1. Former Doo-Dah Queen, Alternative Rock
    recording artist, and beloved piano/voice
teacher, Maryjean Shaffer ran out of her
home in her pajamas clutching her favorite
coat. Now disabled, she had only been able
to load a light box and one banjo her car.
After previously being knocked under a
vehicle, run over and dragged in an accident
caused by the same malfunction that killed
actor Anton Yelchin, Maryjean still struggles
and couldn’t physically lift and carry more to
her car. Except that single banjo, all musical
equipment and rare music books were lost,
including 2 grand pianos – one a recently
purchased Steinway she saved for her whole
life. Also lost was her medical equipment
and the ’79 Corvette her late brother
designed. Maryjean once taught music at
now burned Eliot middle school, to hundreds
privately and her influential all female 80s
band Holy Sisters of the Gaga Dada was
featured on MTV, but now, she is without
family and can’t work. Please help Maryjean

  2. We are thrilled to share that we have raised $35,111 toward our initial goal of $40,000 to support photographers affected by the Los Angeles fires.

While we’re close to reaching our first milestone, our work is far from over. The larger goal of $300,000 reflects the true scale of what’s needed to help photographers rebuild their lives, replace essential equipment, and reignite their creative passions.
The community’s support has brought us this far, and we are confident that together we can meet the challenges ahead. Whether it’s spreading the word, encouraging friends to contribute, or continuing to champion this cause, every action makes a difference. Please donate.

  3. Helena Davies (also known as Sam), was born and raised in Altadena and has been a lifelong resident. Due to the Eaton Fire, Helena has lost everything. Her beloved home—passed down through generations—was completely destroyed, along with over $200,000 worth of art she and her parents spent decades collecting.

She also lost all of her family heirlooms, and irreplaceable mementos from her late husband. Two of her three cherished cats did not survive. Her car was also destroyed, leaving her without transportation.
